Yes. Harker requires all applicants for TK through grade 2 to submit results from a Wechsler intelligence scale (the WPPSI-IV or WISC-V, depending on your child's age). A cognitive assessment is optional for applicants to grades 3 through 5.
It depends on your child's age at the time of testing. Younger applicants take the WPPSI-IV, and children about age 6 and older take the WISC-V. Harker requires a child to be at least 4 years old at the time of testing.
Harker provides a list of suggested psychologists in its Ravenna application portal. Testing here is done by Claire McCann (LEP #4820) or Sierra Delaney (LEP #4856), both Licensed Educational Psychologists. Claire is included on Harker's list of suggested psychologists.
The fee is $800. It is a flat fee. It includes scoring and a written summary of results. Families who pay by cash, check, or Zelle save $20. The report includes the Full Scale IQ (FSIQ) plus all primary index scores.
The assessment takes about 80 minutes. It is done in a single visit.
Harker's application deadline is January 5, 2027, and your child's cognitive assessment results are part of that application, so plan to test well before then. Book as soon as your child meets the age requirement to leave room before the deadline. We will get you the results within 3 business days.
You can pay by Zelle, Venmo, cash, or check. Payment is due before the appointment.
Once results are ready, send me the link from your child's application and I will upload them directly. You also receive a copy.
