Harker School IQ Testing: WPPSI-IV and WISC-V

What Harker requires

Required for TK through grade 2
Harker requires all applicants for transitional kindergarten through grade 2 to submit results from a Wechsler intelligence scale as part of the application.
Optional for grades 3 through 5
A cognitive assessment is optional for applicants to grades 3 through 5.
Younger applicants: WPPSI-IV
Younger children take the Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence, Fourth Edition. Harker requires a child to be at least 4 years old at the time of testing.
About age 6 and older: WISC-V
Older children take the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children, Fifth Edition. The right test depends on your child's age at the time of testing.

Key dates

Application deadline: Monday, January 5, 2027
Harker's application and supporting materials are due by this date. Your child's cognitive assessment results are part of the application, so plan to test well before then.
Decisions released: Friday, March 12, 2027
Harker releases admission decisions in Ravenna on this date.
Schedule as soon as your child meets the age requirement
Book as soon as your child reaches the age requirement so results are ready well before the application deadline. Results here are ready in about one week or less.
